Es Torrent is not your typical Ibiza beach restaurant. No DJ here. No party. No branded fashion line. Es Torrent is a very small fish restaurant, on a secluded beach on the south coast of the Island. Amazing food in a serene environment. Both for lunch or dinner. But getting to Es Torrent needs to be deserved: only a small and steep dirt road winding through the forrest will get you there. Finding it may not be easy. But well worth it.

Definitely not your typical, tourist infested, restaurant in Positano. La Marinella is a very small, very (very) simple restaurant on a small beach next to Positano. Not easy to find, a bit of a walk to get to, but the homemade pasta and setting are worth the effort.

Not your typical “white-minimalist” beach club, Scorpios mixes earth and water to create a very unique atmosphere. Relaxed through the day, getting more electric as the sun sets. With remarkable food for a place which is supposed to be “trendy”. So nice to be different.

A restaurant and beach club set amongst the protruding rocks of this magical island, Fontelina is an experience not to miss when in Capri. But given the enchanting setting and delicious Italian dishes served, the small place gets quickly full. Do reserve to make sure that the perilous trek down the stone cliff to get to the beach ends as expected.

Small boutique hotel hanging from a cliff, Casa Angelina has its own character on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. A touch more modern than you would expect for the region, its “sailing boat” feel is a perfect fit for the immense blue horizon all around it. Also one of the best views of Positano and Capri, on the other side of the bay.

Set in a natural reserve at the south-western end of Portugal, this modern hotel is surrounded by nature and what the ocean has to give. Great food and incredible beaches asking to be surfed. Great value and family friendly (even though maybe not best for toddlers).
